Based out of Red Deer, Alberta Polar Geomatics is uniquely positioned to bring custom GIS solutions to emergency response & contingency planning. Incorporated in 2003, Polar has been steadily growing & expanding it's capabilities in the area of geomatic solutions. Polar works on a contract basis for the some of the largest Oil & Gas corporations in Canada.
Currently Polar has a staff of 19 individuals with varying educational & professional backgrounds in the areas of GIS, emergency response planning, environmental science, technological development & business administration. With an innovative spirit that is necessary to keep up with an ever changing environment, we focus on the importance of thinking ahead & being prepared. To do this, Polar utilizes the most up to date technology in the world of geomatics in order to provide their clients with many custom tailored products & services to fit their specific needs.
Our flagship product LOID (Land Owner Information Database), has been continually developed upon to offer a more complete, accurate & efficient stakeholder information system at a lesser cost then traditional methods.
Stakeholder information is gathered by way of phone updates, field consultation or by mail, verified, and then it is integrated into LOID so that it may be easily accessible in case the company needs to contact a stakeholder. This process allows for on-the-fly stakeholder updates and detailed consultation event tracking, which both allow for higher accuracy and better regulation of ERP compliance.
